Gary M. Lee P.E.
President and CEO
Gary serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Universal Asset Management. He has had a distinguished professional engineering career marked by the successful completion of hundreds of civil and environmental engineering projects for public and private clients across the United States and beyond. He has extensive experience in the preparation of independent engineering reports for financing facilities, in conducting rate studies for utilities. He has served as Principal-In-Charge and lead design engineer over a wide range of infrastructure projects that have included advanced water treatment technologies, and complex financing, permitting and regulatory compliance issues. Gary is also the originator of the Reliability Centered Maintenance approach to insurance-backed warranty/service contracts managed by UAM. |

Ryan Saffels, P.E.
General Manager
Ryan spent the first eight years of his career working as a consulting engineer serving as a project manager and design engineer for a wide variety of private and municipal civil and environmental engineering projects. After joining Universal Asset Management in 2003, Ryan was stationed in Sydney Australia where he represented UAM in our joint venture with Macquarie Bank of Sydney in the introduction and development of low pressure sewer technology in Australia. Ryan has detailed design and project management experience in a variety of water and wastewater infrastructure projects and is also certified as a Construction Documents Technologist by the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI). In addition to his engineering duties, Ryan also currently serves as UAM’s General Manager, overseeing the day to day office operations. |

Dan Slickman
Vice President – Compliance & Public Affairs
Prior to joining Gary Lee in the formation of Universal Asset Management, Dan spent 10 years as Vice President of Public Affairs at Archer Engineers, a century old consulting engineering company based in the Kansas City area. There he assisted in the development, planning, financing, regulatory compliance and permitting of hundreds of millions of dollars of public and private infrastructure projects. He also consulted with clients on a wide variety of risk management and avoidance issues. As UAM’s Vice President of Regulatory Compliance and Public Affairs, Dan regularly assists UAM clients with project development, financing, permitting, risk management and compliance issues. As a licensed property and causality insurance agent, he also serves as UAM’s Agent of Record on insurance backed maintenance programs and service contracts. |

Javier
Valencia, P.E. UAM
Javier has a Masters of Science in Civil Engineering/Geotechnical from the University of Dayton and has 25+ years of extensive engineering experience in roadway systems and sub-systems, infrastructure management,. pavement design and evaluation, geographic information systems, computerized data management system design, and project management. He has been responsible for managing a wide variety of infrastructure and asset management development projects for such clients as the U.S. Air Force, NASA, US Army Corps of Engineers, multiple local and state public agencies and private corporations. |

Willis Lee
P.E. UAM
Mr. Lee has provided complete project management services for over 500 civil engineering projects including services for over 100 communities in the Midwest. He has also been responsible for the detailed analysis and evaluation of various utilities used by private investors, municipalities, and public service commissions for internal evaluation, or by outside organizations for possible acquisitions. Willis routinely provides technical expertise and quality assurance assistance to staff engineers, UAM projects and clients. |

Michael Medsker
Chief Information Officer UAM
Mike, UAM’s Chief Information Officer, has a unique combination of applications and implementation experience on complex engineering software, data management, and maintenance management systems. He has over 24 years experience in the engineering and computer management field that includes 19 years in engineering software development and network/systems engineering. He led the hardware and software design of UAM’s integrated call center, maintenance tracking and reporting and underwriting systems.

Michael West
Senior VP-Sales & Marketing UAM
Michael held several key management and executive level positions during his 36-year career with Sprint and as an Entrepreneur, founded and managed a successful consulting business. Other roles included the management for field operations, contract negotiations, federal and state regulatory interpretation/support, standards, methods/procedures, sales/marketing, new business development/execution, financial optimization programs, maintenance/ operations, disaster recovery planning, and performance measurements. He currently serves as the Sr. Vice President of Sales and Marketing in support of UAM’s sales and marketing efforts.

Dick Hime
VP - Operations UAM
Dick has 30 years experience in retail mechanical service and claims administration and currently serves as Vice-President of Operations for Universal Asset Management. His responsibilities involve supervision of the Claims Department, the Policy Services Department, the Technician Certification Program, and the UAM Service Provider Network. His background in technical analysis, communications, and customer relations ensures the all-important interface between end-users, service providers, and insurance carriers. |

Jared Findley
UAM
Jared has a BS in Physics, Mathematics, and is currently pursuing his BS in Mechanical Engineering. He manages UAM’s Trend and Data Analysis group and has worked directly with UAM’s software development team to customize our internal data management system, and is the co-administrator of the system. His comprehension of mechanical intricacies within various asset classes along with his mathematical, software, analytical and computer skills have made him a key member of the UAM team.
